Cub Scout Pack 493
Rockville, Maryland
Rockville, Maryland
We invite ALL kids in grades K-5 to join our pack program that's designed to include every Scout.
While we encourage each of our Scouts to live the Cub Scout Motto to Do Your Best, participation is only limited by personal choice - not by sex, gender, sexual orientation, ability, religion, financial barriers, or activity requirements.
Our pack has served the families of Rockville for over 50 years but our membership is not limited to just Rockville. We've historically included students from all over Montgomery County.

YOUR School!
We are a family pack which provides the opportunity for all children in the same grade to work together as one den. We invite parents and siblings to participate with their Cub Scouts in most activities. We also focus on diversity and inclusion for everything we do.
We are part of the National Capital Area Council (NCAC) of Scouting America in the Potomac District.
Our official program year follows the MCPS school calendar and runs September through May. Our Pack has monthly Den Meetings (grouped by grade-level) and Pack events 1-3x every month. Traditionally, most den meeting have occurred on Sundays afternoons. In addition to our den and pack meetings, we also participate in a variety of special events, like Family Campouts, Outdoor Hikes, District Events, and Community Service and Outreach.
We also hold events throughout the year that give your child a chance to see what scouting is about and to learn more about our program in person. Contact us to find out when our next Pack + Friends event is held! We'd love to have you join as our guest.
Cub Scout Pack 493's Chartered Organization is the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Rockville, located at 100 Welsh Park Drive, Rockville, MD 20850.
We use this space for many of our monthly den meetings and special events.
From the thrill of shooting an arrow to learning how to transform a block of wood into a race car, Cub Scouts is one thrill after another. With a program expertly tailored to match each age in a child's life, Cub Scouts learn that even when fun isn’t easy, it’s always an adventure. In Scouting, everything has a purpose. And it shows kids that doing their best is the most fun of all.
