ABOUT OUR PACK

We are located in Rockville, Maryland, and invite ALL kids in grades K-5 to join our pack.

We are a family pack, inviting parents and siblings to participate with their Cub Scouts in most activities. We also focus on diversity and inclusion for everything we do. Our pack has served the families of Rockville for over 50 years. 

Our membership is not limited to Rockville as we've historically serviced students from all over Montgomery County. Schools we primarily serve:​

• Rock Creek Valley Elementary School

• Maryvale Elementary School (French Immersion Magnet School)

• Twinbrook Elementary School

• Candlewood Elementary School

• YOUR School!

We are in the Potomac District as part of the National Capital Area Council (NCAC) of Scouting America.

We are sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Rockville (UUCR) as our Charter Organization.

While we support this individual Pack, UUCR continues to be deeply troubled by certain, harmful historical practices and norms of Scouting America and we are committed to the continued transformation of these aspects of Scouting America culture. UUCR values equity, justice, generosity, interdependence, pluralism, and transformation as spiritual practices and values expressed through love. UUCR is committed to ensuring that our UU principles and values are fully integrated into the culture of Pack 493.
